- I'm not sure how you automatically equate sales with quality, given
- how ferocious the sales of Zoom modems used to be, until everyone caught
- on. Also, I always heard wonderful things about USR modems and I think
- that their upper-level modems are probably as good or better than ever.
- I don't know, maybe they just don't know how to make a lower-price modem
- without making a problem-prone unit.

- I subscribed to this newsgroup in order to observe for awhile and
- possibly to ask some questions. I was considering Supra or the USR
- (since my provider can do 33.6. Based on all I've read here, I can't get
- very excited about the USR Sportster, which is what I was considering.
- On the other hand, there has been very little criticism of the Supra
- modems, one of which (their 14.4) I now own and like.
